Cancer diagnostic and screening

There is today an huge and urgent need for efficient screening solutions, easy to use, rapid and at low cost. Indeed, such solutions would enable to establish mass screenings and thus detect cancer much earlier than before and more specifically. This would consequently reduce cancer morbidity and decrease the cost of patients care. Unfortunately there are only a few tools available until now and none of them allows an early detection necessary to treat patients on time. Proteogenix targets its research to reverse this trend.

Our research platform based on the one hybrid system allows us to discover through targeted screenings new diagnostic markers. Starting from well identified genes known to play an important role in cancerogenesis, we focus on sequences that regulate the expression of these genes. From that point, Proteogenix research team elaborate strategies to screen cDNA libraries to find more an more specific and early markers for the diagnostic of one or several types of cancers. Priority is given today to the most prevalent cancers like prostate, breast, lung and colon.
Our portfolio is constituted of 5 targets at various stages of development.
