ANTIBODY PRODUCTION : Ascites
Proteogenix produces monoclonal antibodies in ascites. This method allows to get antibodies in a shorter period of time than in vitro supernatant culture production and provides high concentration of antibodies.
Our production capacity is adapted to small needs/volumes as well as very large ones, up to several litres of ascites.
We are able to produce from your own hybridomas or from the one developed in our laboratories. The number of mice needed will depend on the amount of antibody to be produced. Production yields vary very much from one hybridoma to the other but we usually get 3 to 5 ml of ascites from Balb/C mice and 8 to 10 ml from SCID mice.
A minimum of 10 mice (Balb/C or SCID) is required to start a production from a hybridoma cell line.
