ANTIBODY PURIFICATION

Several purification methods are available for the purification of your monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies on our HPLC/FPLC equipments.

  • Immunoaffinity purification on columns conjugated to the antigen

This is the most efficient method to purifiy your anti-peptide or anti-recombinant protein polyclonal antibodies. Thanks to a column on which the peptide is immobilized, it allows to obtain highly specific antibody that will significantly reduce the background in your experiments. It is also possible to use a mix of peptides or proteins conjugated to the column for the purification.

  • Protein G purification

This is a reliable technique mostly used to purifiy monoclonal antibodies of any kind. It is also used to purify polyclonal antibodies. It allows a mass recovery of more than 90% of the IgG fraction of serum, culture supernatant or ascites.

  • Protein A purification

This method can be considered as similar to protein G columns, allowing a mass recovery of more than 90% of the IgG fraction. The choice between a protein G or protein A purification mostly depends on the isotype of the antibody and/or the host animal.

  • Specific IgY purification

- Level 1 purification : Stepwise salting out
Ammonium sulphate precipitation
Purity : > 96% IgY compared to proteins. Some non-protein substances remain.
Yield: 400 - 1100 mg total from IgG from 10 immunoeggs depending on the amount of yolk
The resulting product is comparable to rabbit serum in terms of purity.
- Level 2 purification : Chromatography
Purity: > 97% IgY compared to proteins, essentially lipid free. Reduction of endotoxins, DNA and other substances.
Yield: 350 - 900 mg total from IgY from 10 immunoeggs depending on amount of yolk
